19th November: Monegasque National Day

FORTE ÜNSEME, VIVA MUNEGU !

Every year, the month of November is a special time in the Principality, undoubtedly the most important for Monegasques and residents: the Prince's Day, which is the National Holiday. Celebrated on the 19th, it gives them the opportunity to gather around the Sovereign Prince and His Family and show their attachment to them.

19 November 1949 is the day on which Prince Rainier III acceded to the throne, the day on which Rainier of Arezzo, recognised as Saint Patron of the Principality by Prince Rainier III, was celebrated. At the time of his enthronement in 2005, H.S.H. Prince Albert II kept St. Rainier's Day in memory of his father, in preference to 15 November, St. Albert's Day, to celebrate the Monegasque National Day.

During his 56-year reign, Prince Rainier III profoundly shaped Monaco, particularly from the point of view of urban development: he initiated numerous building programmes and extended the territory by a fifth by extension on the sea, which earned him the nickname of "the builder Prince".

The Principality is still developing through prestigious, extraordinary new developments, to which Valeri Agency can give you access, whether you wish to settle there or invest.
