The Park Palace

The Park Palace complex is located in the heart of the Carré d'Or in Monaco, between Avenue de la Costa and Avenue Saint-Michel, which are both accessible via the Impasse de la Fontaine. Located at the top of the Place du Casino and facing its gardens, close to the luxury shops and hotels, it remains one of the most sought-after residence in the Principality.

But did you know that the Park Palace has a second life?

The first Park Palace, in the Belle Epoque style, was completed in 1915 under the direction of the architect Edouard-Jean Niermans, who also designed the famous Negresco in Nice in 1912 and the elevation of the Rotonde of the Hôtel de Paris.

Since the 1950s, the centre of Monte Carlo has been constantly modernised and its capacity increased by means of substitute architecture which gradually replaced the existing buildings. Then, in the 1970s, due to the small size of the territory, the construction of high-rise buildings multiplied, considerably changing the landscape of Monte Carlo.

The Park Palace did not escape this transformation and the complex was demolished, along with some neighbouring buildings such as the Hôtel de Russie, at the very beginning of the 1980s to make way, in 1983, for two buildings making up the current Park Palace, whose architecture was entrusted to the Monegasque architect Jean Notari.

The new 20-storey complex is then divided into several buildings, on the one hand for residential use (ABC block opposite Port Hercule and DEF block opposite the Casino Gardens) and, on the other hand, for use as commercial premises or offices (in the Allées Lumières shopping mall), car parking, cellars and commercial reserves (all located in block G). It has a total of nearly 1,215 units distributed as follows: 245 flats (from studios to 10-room penthouses, some with swimming pools), some sixty commercial or office premises, twenty or so reserves, 635 parking spaces and 258 cellars.

It boasts top-of-the-range facilities including a gym, indoor pool and sauna, 24/7 concierge service, restaurants and shops in the shopping gallery, making it a unique venue.

If you are seduced by the many assets offered by the Park Palace, Valeri Agency will be delighted to show you the properties it offers for rent or for sale in Monte Carlo, the most emblematic district of the Principality.
