The Grimaldi Forum will expand in 2024!

Inaugurated in 2000, this giant of concrete, glass and steel, located in the Larvotto district, is currently 70,000 square metres in size and has a theatre, three auditoriums (for cultural events), twenty-two conference / lecture rooms and catering facilities, making it possible to host several international events simultaneously.

However, the Monegasque cultural and conference centre, which contributes to the Principality's influence, intends to develop its activities further, with an emphasis on conferences and professional events, and to position Monaco as a leading venue in this sector.

In order to achieve this objective, some 10,000 sqm will be created, the construction of the Mareterra extension leading to the extension of the Grimaldi Forum itself.

Its exhibition capacity will increase by 50%, with almost 6,000 sqm of additional exhibition space, 1,700 sqm for the logistics area, 800 sqm for the central kitchen, 1,500 sqm for the technical areas and 1,200 sqm of outdoor areas. Most of the space gained from the extension will be underground.

This future extension, which should be delivered by 2024, will be accessible via a separate external entrance and will also be connected to the rest of the building via a direct link to the Diaghilev exhibition hall.
