The Mareterra district

This district, engineered to withstand potential seismic activity and rising sea levels, also features a private luxury residential area comprising five buildings (including Le Renzo and Les Jardins d’Eau) with 120 spacious, high-end apartments, ten exclusive villas—six of which are located directly on the waterfront—and four townhouses, with floor areas ranging from 400 to 2,000 square metres. These rare properties offer exclusive access to a seawater pool named the "Princess Charlene Pool."

This innovative complex represents a harmonious blend of modernity, luxury, and environmental sustainability. It is directly connected to the state-managed thalassothermal network in Larvotto, leveraging the sea’s energy to heat and cool the district. Solar panels installed on the Grimaldi Forum, residential buildings, water gardens, and the Periscope elevators (linking Place Gabriella to the Port Quay) form the largest photovoltaic energy production facility in Monaco. Notably, 80% of the district’s public lighting is powered by this green electricity, with surplus energy generated by buildings reintegrated into the local grid.

With Mareterra, an entire district has been transformed, furthering the renovation of Larvotto Beach, also designed by Renzo Piano. This project heralds a new lifestyle that enhances Monaco’s appeal and aligns with the Principality’s vision of renewing its real estate offerings to meet international luxury standards.
